South Padre Island is again the prefered choice of many pro "kiters" who converge on this tropical paradise to demonstrate why kiteboarding is quickly becoming a new favorite sport of the "wind" crowd.
Imagine stepping onto a surfboard-type platform, donning special rigging attached to a giant kite sail, and letting go to the power of the wind. In seconds you're catapulted by a steady breeze, climbing the waves, flying over the surf, performing ariel stunts that defy simple explanation.
